Situated in the plain of Santa Maria di Gesù, Caltagirone, together with other ancient patrician villas built next to the franciscan medieval convent; embedded in a park rich with ancient plants, restored in the nineteenth century by Gesualdo Montemago, an eclectic architect from the “Calatina” area, here rises Villa Remigia Libertini. It is an ancient patrician villa, with a warm nineteenth century ochre-rose façade, a charming main entrance portal, and elegant balconies enriched by alternating triangular tympanums. The original and still intact antique rooms, the finely decorated ceilings, and the classical period furnishings, allow the visitors and guests to experience the same sensations that were once felt by the owners on a daily basis. The noble atmosphere, the majesty of the park, and the fragrances of the gardens make an incomparable background to fine shows and events.
